A new national quality sports club programme “Star Club” started in Finland in 2018. It includes all sport associations and covers the whole lifespan (children and adolescents, adults and elite sport). The Sports Clubs for Health Programme guiding principles are included in the quality programme to which the national and regional associations as well as sports clubs are committed. The implementation of the principles in sports clubs is supported through the auditing system which provides the Olympic Committee and other stakeholders realtime data concerning the number of clubs implementing the principles in their club activities. The Star Club’s (Olympic Committee) web pages refer to SCforH web pages so that the clubs, associations and policy makers have an easy access to relevent information and tools.
